1、 Usage and performance specifications

Flow limiting valve, also known as overcurrent valve, is used in urban gas, liquid ammonia, liquefied gas, gasoline and diesel pipelines, as well as in cooling systems of refineries, petrochemical plants, and thermal power plants, as an opening and closing device to control the flow rate/velocity of the medium.

2、 Operating principle and structural description

1. This valve is normally open on the installation pipeline within the normal rated flow rate.

2. When the flow rate on the installation pipeline exceeds the rated value of this valve, the valve will automatically close. When the flow rate on the installation pipeline is normal, the valve will automatically open. When it opens automatically, the inlet medium will be guided through the small hole (No. 5) on the valve core. After the pressure at both ends is balanced, the spring will automatically contract and the valve will open.

3. This valve mainly adopts a conical sealing surface, with spring controlled flow, and uses the flow velocity and thrust of the medium to control the flow on the pipeline.

3、 Characteristic Description

This valve is a safety protection valve used for non corrosive media such as oil, liquefied gas, liquid ammonia, and gaseous ammonia. When the flow rate of the medium in the pipeline exceeds the set value, it will be immediately closed. If the pipeline or accessories are damaged and the flow rate is too high, it will automatically close to prevent accidents from occurring or expanding. It is generally installed at the inlet and outlet of storage tanks or pipeline outlets to safeguard the safety and reliability of downstream equipment.

Valves should be sealed with plugs or covers for each passage during daily storage, and stored in a dry and ventilated room. Long term storage should be regularly inspected to eliminate dirt, and rust proof oil should be applied to the processing surface to prevent corrosion

Before installation, the valve should be cleaned thoroughly and all screw connections should be tightened This valve can be installed in any working position, but it should be easy to operate and maintain

This valve can only limit flow in one direction. During installation, it is necessary to pay attention to the valve flow path markings and protect the cleanliness of all components of this valve to prevent rusting
